Cali Coast Road Trip

We just got back from a spring road trip. It was a blast starting in Jackson and heading all the way south to Torrey Pines in San Diego via Salt Lake and Las Vegas. From there we hit all the major coastal sites on the way San Francisco and Mt. Tam before hitting the Bridge in Twin Falls on the way home. We lucked out with near perfect weather and ended up with another amazing adventure. Here is a teaser Karl through together with a very small portion of the outstanding footage captured. Enjoy.

Back From Hawaii

The 2 months in Hawaii was jam packed, non stop fun. I was on the island of Oahu and was there long enough to fly every corner of the island. The flying was epic to say the least, everything from ridge soaring acro sessions that you land sore from, to un-expected XC on an island. Who would have thought? (thanks Jorge for the wing) Thats not even mentioning the speed flying. Loren got some absolutely incredible photos. And there are a few videos up. We got some paragliding footage that I'm still trying to sort through but it will be worth the wait. Enjoy.

Ozone 2009 American Desert Photo Shoot:

Matt Gerdes from The Ozone Team flew into Salt Lake with six brand new gliders from the 09 product line and told us we had 10 days to get as many different pictures as possible. With Loren Cox as the main Photographer and John James doing both video and pictures, Carson, Matt, and I were off to the races. It was a busy 10 days going as far north as Bear Lake on the Idaho/Utah border, south all the way into Arizona, and back to Salt Lake in a big loop. We made the most of the unpredictable fall weather and ended up with some incredible shots and an adventure not soon forgotten. Here's the goods:

December is here

Its already december and we are still waiting on snow in the Wasatch. Carson and I just got back from an Ozone photo shoot all over the south west. We should have an edit up by the end of the week for that, I will post it here as soon as I get it. Also Carson is working on a new ground rush foot launching edit that should be up soon. Here is a video that Karl Stezlick from Jackson Hole put together on a trip down to the point. Thanks Karl.

The summer season is slowly coming to an end and we are starting to see more and more snow on the peaks. Im starting to shift gears from paragliding to speed riding anxiously awaiting enough snow. I have mixed feelings about it, I already miss summer but it is going to be a great season and I can't wait. This slideshow has a few shots from Chris Lezzoni and a bunch from Loren Cox. Loren just got a new Nikon D90 and is an incredible photographer. More to come.

Lone Peak Area

Chris Simpson and I decided to see how far up lone peak we could get. the run turned out to be 3500 vertical feet and it took us five hours of skinning to get to the launch. The first pic is of me pointing at the North Side at the Point of the Mountain Flight Park where we do both foot and ski launched instruction.

Thanks to Sik Nik for doing the filming that i pulled these shots from, and to Carson for lugging his skis up the hill with hardley any snow to ride on anyway. Wind speed was about 30 mph at the top.
